The Five Words and Five Principles are the foundation of the Hyde Leadership Charter School- Brooklyn community values and shared commitment. As members of this community. We agree to participate fully in the Hyde Process with a commitment to Discovery & Personal Development using the Five Words & Principles. 
 

HYDE’S FIVE WORDS

 

Courage

The ability to be strong and persevere when you feel afraid.

 

Concern

A feeling of worry or care for other people.

 

Curiosity

The desire to learn or know more about someone or something.

 

Integrity

The quality of being honest, trustworthy, and fair.

 

Leadership

The ability to positively guide yourself and others.

Destiny

The purpose and value of my life.

 

Humility

Believing everyone and everything is valuable and important.

 

Conscience

An awareness of action as being morally right or wrong.

 

Truth

The use of facts not fiction to guide your decisions.

We care about other’s feelings and their personal best.
