James Cecil Simpson
Mr. Simpson currently Adjunct Lecturer in finance, economics and management at Bronx Community College of the City University of New York, in the Business and Information Systems Department. His work experience includes providing comprehensive financial modeling studies used in capital structure analyses for internal determination of credit worthiness and as supportive submission when seeking formal public ratings from the agencies.
Mr. Brown is the CEO of CORE Services Group, a transitional housing development and supportive services company, has nearly 20 years experience in the development and operation of community-based correctional facilities, and other supportive housing that serves New York’s most vulnerable individuals. His programs primarily address the needs of forensically involved underserved, difficult to serve, and service resistant youth and adults.
Ms. Robinson is currently Senior Manager of Merchant Services America’s Pricing Group at American Express. Ms. Robinson’s experience includes financial forecasting, analysis and creation of pricing constructs to secure new merchant contracts and renegotiate expiring contracts. Her professional expertise in business and finance will serve as value added to support and ensure financial longevity.
Mrs. Goubourn is the founding Head of School for the Hyde Leadership Charter School, Bronx, New York. The school serves Grades K, 1, 2, and 6, 7, 8 with a plan for culminating as a K-12 school. She was also Head of School at the Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in Washington, DC. She is an expert at establishing and maintaining a character culture where every member of the school community is supported to give their best every day with particular attention to developing and maintaining productive parent partnerships.
Claire Robinson is a retired financial services executive with extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning and personnel management. Prior to joining Hyde Leadership Charter School – Brooklyn’s Board of Trustees, she served on the board of the Achievement First network of schools in Brooklyn and served as Board Chair of the Endeavor School in Clinton Hill.
Claire has lived in Brooklyn for more than thirty years and is passionate about helping to assure that all of the borough’s children have access to an excellent education. She holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University, a MA in Russian from Penn State and a BA in Russian and French from New College
